In celebration of Thanksgiving and all the wonderful clients we’ve had the privilege of working with this past year, we’re sharing some of our team’s favorite exterior designs of 2023. This post is one of our favorites to put together year after year (you can see our 2022 roundup here) because it provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the wide variety of projects we worked so hard on.

“This one shows that people can leave their brick but still elevate their home with just paint on the other accent elements. The White Dove and London Fog bring out the light undertones of this client’s brick. Very cozy!

The mountainous backdrop was taken into account when we selected the colors for this one-of-a-kind house. Cable railings open up the view, and a custom vertical wood door compliments the vertical wood on the design… all blended together to live with the natural surroundings.”

“I’ve been completely into A-frame houses lately. They remind me of a family vacation on a lake or in the mountains somewhere! They speak in such an unassuming way. I love the natural wood and earth tone colors in this design. The wall of windows brings in tons of natural light, and the cable railing offers beautiful views. I can imagine the memories made by the fire on that outside deck!”
“Yes, brick&batten designs commercial spaces too! The porch with outside seating is a must on the water. I also love the Bahama shutters to offer color and interest. Overall, I think the design captured my attention because it looks like a friendly, welcoming, and casual environment. Definitely a worst-to-first design!”

From the stone siding that highlights the entrance to the copper gutters and light fixtures, every aspect of this design plays an important role in elevating the home’s exterior.”
“From the gorgeous gray-blue hue on the siding (Stonecutter — one of our best exterior house colors of 2022) to the wood double entry doors to the wrap-around porch, I love everything about this exterior design. Our designers did a fantastic job bringing this dated home back to life.”

Too often, high-end materials are overlooked by homeowners as they deem their home too small or not grand enough, but with the right application, high-end materials can elevate any home.”

I studied this one for a while and love that the majority of the home’s original features were kept, including the columns and the cute dormer windows.
