My BFA in studio art has helped me cultivate a meaningful career in the home improvement industry. I have extensive experience in all things design and building materials. As a brick&batten designer, I enjoy using my creative talents and trade knowledge to create beautiful, functional homes for our clients. When I’m not designing for brick&batten, I enjoy spending time with my family and rescue dog, as well as painting and writing.

Matt’s artistic journey kicked off with a crayon in hand, evolving into a career as a muralist in the U.S. He took his craft global, painting across New Zealand, Turkey, Poland, and Italy, and returning to his home states of Indiana and Florida. Matt’s art has been published with licensed franchises such as Star Wars, Ghostbusters, and Stranger Things.  As the Director of Post Production for brick&batten, Matt brings a down-to-earth touch to his artistry.

Each project is a unique opportunity to help our clients envision their property with details that make perfect sense for them! When I’m not designing for brick&batten, I can be found frolicking on the farm or in the barnyard somewhere.

Hi, I have a bachelor’s degree in architecture and a master’s degree in interior and spatial design. I love being a part of the brick&batten team because of the unique and visual approach we use to bring our client ideas to life and transform their homes into homes they are proud to call their own. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and taking photographs that capture all the amazing views from around the world.

From the time I cracked open my first sketchbook, drawing has been a passion. I swapped crayons for pencils, brushes and the Adobe suite, and graduated from SCAD with a degree in Illustration and Design. As a freelance artist for the past 20 years, I have been fortunate to work with a wide spectrum of clients which has given me an extensive education in listening to and interpreting one’s needs and aspirations. Alongside my studio assist/cat, Arlo, I aim to achieve no less than a big smile from every client that I design for here with the team at Brick and Batten.

My life is a vibrant mix of design, family, and a commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

Growing up the daughter of a homebuilder, my love for all things construction and design started early and runs deep. Nothing excites me more than a well-designed home! With degrees in human environmental sciences and drafting and design, I have a strong understanding of people and how they function in spaces. Our talented brick&batten design team delivers top-of-the-line product that allows our clients to visualize their home and its unveiled potential.

I love architecture and design and have been drawing, painting, sewing, and creating for as long as I can remember and filled notebooks with floor plans and drawings of my own dream homes. I studied urban planning in college and later opened an art gallery where I hosted artists for many years until I joined a real estate company. I love designing and rendering for brick&batten and feel like I’m creating a little piece of art with each home. When I’m not designing or marketing real estate, I enjoy traveling all over the world with my husband and renovating our beautiful historic home.
