Why test and sample paint colors?

When you work with our design experts, we’ll recommend paint colors and other design elements that best fit your home style and personal preferences.

But even after you receive your brick&batten design featuring your desired paint colors, it’s still important to test these on your exterior before fully committing. Why? Because factors such as natural lighting, undertones, and your property’s fixed elements will have a significant impact on how a color will appear on your exterior. Using Samplize to test our recommended colors on your home exterior will ensure you move forward with the absolute best shades for your property.

Samplize paint samples vs. traditional paint sampling

Traditionally, to test paint colors on your home, you first have to go to a store and purchase sample pots of your desired colors, bring them home, and paint a small section of your exterior with them. Then, you wait for the paint to dry and see how it looks. Once done, you’re left with brushes to clean and extra paint to dispose of. The traditional way of sampling paint colors can be time consuming, messy, and wasteful.

Samplize has addressed the pain points of traditional paint sampling and offered homeowners a better alternative. Samplize provides 9 x 14.75 inch adhesive squares that you can stick right on your wall. When you’re done, just peel them off. There’s no trip to the paint store, no mess to clean up, and no half-used pots of paint to discard.

In the example above, we searched for one of our go-to shades of white, Benjamin Moore’s White Dove. Samplize will show you what your selected color looks like on a home exterior (pictured above) or various other rooms. You can also explore shades similar to the one you selected (see below).

If you don’t have a specific color in mind, you can use the ‘explore’ function to browse by brand or color family. As mentioned earlier, Samplize has tons of colors to choose from, including all our favorites from Sherwin Williams’ Agreeable Gray and Alabaster to Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter and Pale Oak.

Applying Samplize paint samples

As we noted above, applying your Samplize paint samples is a simple process. All you need to do is peel off the back of your sample and stick it directly on your wall. If you want to use the sample in multiple locations (on the front and back of your home, for example), the samples are easy to remove and reapply. Note: We highly recommend testing paint colors on various parts of your exterior and viewing them at different times throughout the day.

Once you’re done with your sample, simply peel it off.

Samplize customer reviews

Samplize provides an easy, affordable paint sampling option for homeowners. But you don’t have to take our word for it. Check out some of these customer reviews to learn how real Samplize users feel about the experience.

This is genius! I ordered some samples for Sherwin Williams paint we are considering — we are painting an entire house and picking paint colors from two inch chips was exhausting. The Samplize sheets are so big and easy to stick on the wall and move around. I ordered mine at 4:30 p.m., and they arrived before noon the next day.

I had to choose paint for a home that I don’t yet occupy. I had an idea of what I wanted but wasn’t sure. I ordered several off whites and was able to put them on walls and move them around. What a fantastic product! I cannot recommend this company and their product enough. One-day shipping means you can compare and make a decision quickly. Love. This. Yes!

I’ve used Samplize three times now for paint samples. The peel-and-stick samples are the same quality as real paint in terms of color and texture, minus the mess and waste. You can relocate the samples multiple times without losing stickiness.
