The Traditional Ranch Homes Before & After Makeovers

The Traditional Ranch Homes Before & After Curb Appeal Makeovers

See how brick&batten designers, architects, and graphics turn these traditional ranch homes into absolute stunners… with before & after curb appeal makeovers. According to Zillow, nine of ten houses, in the 1950’s and 60’s were ranch style.  As the 80’s hit, people were opting for more square footage; however, the McMansion trend is quickly coming to an end and the 50’s ranches are BACK in a big way. Ranch homes are in high demand and ready to be updated.

Check out some of brick&batten’s before & after proud ranch home stunners!

This Michigan client was looking to update her front porch and overall curb appeal. Blending with the environment, the flagstone walkway, wood garage, and deep color have turned this design into one of my favorites!

This Atlanta stunner needed some updating and brightening up! Removing the shutters and adding exquisite Visual Comfort lighting did the trick.  Select the earthy toned planter and your eyes are drawn to the front door.  Now, this home is head turner!

Sometimes you have ideas but just need to see a visual before taking the plunge.  This client wasn’t sure if she wanted to paint but was looking for simple changes.  After seeing the beautiful color, she couldn’t resist! Our goal was to draw all eyes up the round staircase to the updated front door.  Many times wood is the best choice; however, on this design we opted for a rich black door to enhance the wrought iron rail and lighting.

Ranch home with traditional accents

This North Carolina friend wanted to ditch the traditional ranch style and truly create a bold masterpiece.  Black home exteriors aren’t for everyone but when done correctly, the look is gorgeous and timeless. Opening up the doorway using all glass and massive sidelights, takes the porch area from a dark hole to an open oasis.  This house screams curb appeal confidence!

Traditional Ranch with Updated Curb Appeal

As seen, a traditional ranch doesn’t have to be a curse.  Ranches are making a comeback in a BIG WAY! Some folks have ideas that they need to see before pulling the trigger. Others are going for a simple makeover. While a huge handful want brick&batten designers to take over and surprise them! Instead of selling that beautiful ranch, update and love your house again.
