Within the Spare White trim are black window frames rendered in Tricorn Black, also by Sherwin Williams. This unexpected, high-contrast design adds depth to the otherwise classic color palette.

There’s no combination more classic than black and white. You can’t go wrong with creamy, white siding finished in a shade like Sherwin Williams’ Shell White and high-contrast window trim in a deep charcoal gray like Iron Ore by Sherwin Williams.
Shell White is a creamy, soft white shade with an LRV of 83 and slight peach undertones. This combination ensures it doesn’t become too stark or sterile on your exterior, instead creating a welcoming and warm feel. Iron Ore, on the other hand, is a softer alternative to true black with an LRV of 6 (though it may appear black when paired with light shades). When used together, this duo creates a timeless exterior design that will never go out of style.
