How This Outdated Storefront Got a Bold New Look

When the owner of Copper Top Beverages in Henderson, Texas, took over an outdated storefront, they saw the potential hiding underneath the dated metal roof. What once housed two other businesses was now ready for a complete transformation, and we proudly helped them bring that vision to life.
Before: An Outdated Storefront That Needed Direction
At first glance, the original structure had plenty of space but lacked cohesion. Two separate entrances for one business would confuse customers, and the dated red roof overwhelmed the exterior.
“Our building had two entrances, and we needed guidance in closing up one and making the other the main entrance,” the owner explained.
He had already worked with brick&batten on a prior residential project, and immediately knew who to turn to.
“I had used Brick & Batten previously on a residential rental that I was totally remodeling and was very pleased with the renderings they provided,” he said. “The experience I already had with them made it easy to go to them first for their services.”
A Clear Vision for a Modern Refresh
The owner wanted a sleek, strong, and approachable exterior. One that would elevate their brand while matching the quality of the beverages they sold. Our design team took inspiration from the business name itself and incorporated wood tones and industrial accents that played beautifully off a modern black-and-copper palette.
The virtual design introduced clean lines, balanced textures, and a cohesive layout. The new main entrance became the focal point, framed with vertical tongue-and-groove wood siding and matte black corrugated metal. Updated stone veneer anchored the building with a natural touch, while strategic lighting and landscaping added warmth.
This final design was professional yet welcoming, perfect for a modern beverage shop.
From Rendering to Reality
When it came time to bring the design to life, the Copper Top Beverages team dove in with confidence.
“We opened up the files with all the product information and started our search on local distributors and placing orders for the products,” the owner said.
The detailed renderings and material specifications from brick&batten made the renovation process simple. We clearly outlined every element so the team could make efficient decisions. The team handled much of the renovations themselves, using their own crews and local subcontractors to get the work done.
“We did most of it in-house with our own crews, but completed renovation in about 60 days from day one of the demo,” he shared.
That speed is impressive for any commercial transformation. It’s even more so for one like this, which required structural updates and full material replacements.
The Big Reveal: A Business Reinvented

“brick&batten was very thorough, priced correctly, and provided details on the products they used,” the owner said. “We followed the design basically 100%.”
The team ultimately kept every key feature from the renderings: the rich dark exterior, warm wood siding, crisp metal trim, and bold signage remained. The final result was nearly identical to the virtual design, a testament to the clarity of brick&batten’s designs.
After just two months of renovation, Copper Top Beverages reopened its doors with a fresh new look that redefined the space. Gone was the tired red roof and outdated storefront – in its place stood a sharp, modern building that shone with pride.
“We love the outcome and get lots of positive feedback from customers,” the owner shared.
